My Currently Watching Jdramas February 2020

Joseinoburogu.blogspot.com

Well, compared to my previous post here, this time, I don’t watch too many Jdramas. Why? Well, I think this is everybody’s problems when it comes to waiting for the subtitle. Not to mention that lately some streaming websites are down. Kissasian and dramanice are nowhere to be accessed. Those are my most favorite places to stream or watch online despite their pop up messages.

So, without too many babbling, here are my currently watching dramas:

1.       Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo (Love Lasts Forever)

Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo (Love Lasts Forever)

If you are a regular visitor in this website, you might find that I have a big crush on Takeru Satoh. 😍😍😍 Lol. So, no matter how long the sub needs to upload or how long I have to wait for the latest episode,  or the worst thing is no matter how bad the internet runs is, I would do it. 🤗🤗

Love Lasts Forever manga cover

The story is based on manga with the same title by Maki Enjoji. Since it's shoujo manga, the story is mostly about romance. Nanase Sakura was a high school student when she first met Kairi Tendo sensei. She fell in love for the first sight looking at how gentle he was towards a patient. From then on, Sakura found her calling, to be with Tendo sensei in the future. How could she realize her dreams? She must be a nurse!

The manga scene came to life 👏

5 years passed and Sakura finally pursued her dreams, working in a hospital where she can work with Tendo sensei. Unfortunately, her imagination about how gentle Tendo sensei ruined instantly. She found out that doctors, nurses and staff in the hospital call him monster. Well, where did this gentle doctor go? Was it only her imagination for all this time?

I happened to read some chapters of the manga. Since online scanlation only has 14 chapters, so I couldn't finish the manga. The paperback is available in my town, though. Well, I prefer watching the drama since I could enjoy seeing my adorable yet stoic Takeru Satoh. 😉😉 Of course, there are differences here and there. And I'm glad that it is different. Manga focuses mainly on Sakura's feeling towards Tendo sensei. The story revolves around whether she can capture Tendo sensei's heart or not. Some patients have different kinds of illness. Manga didn't tell much about Anri chan, Kanda San (the one who deceased in episode 2) had cancer in manga but suffered from heart disease in live action. Kisugi sensei appeared in some later chapters. The description of Kisugi sensei is really harsh. Tendo sensei even called him as someone who only thinks using his crotch. Oh my gosh. Thanks to screen writer of the love action for changing the role 😁😁😁. One more thing is about Sakai san, another newbie who is really capable in handling patients and adjusting her work. In manga, she appeared a year after Sakura doing her apprenticeship. And she seems to have a feeling towards Tendo sensei, too.

Oh NOOOOOOO 😭🤣🤣🤣

If you follow the dorama like I do, you must find those mentioned above are the differences. See? If the live action sticks to the manga, I don't think it's this interesting. Tendo sensei is stoic, rather conceited, meticulous, friendly only to patients (can't stand looking at him smiling to his patients, I'm melting 😍😍). On the other hand, when he shows his harsh attitude towards Sakura, he is really adorable. His towering figure with his dark coat is really intimidating 😊😊😊. Sakura, on the contrary, she is sloppy, easily getting nervous when Tendo sensei is around, not really a fast learner but eager to do more to patients, perseverent, and cheerful. I think it's a typical female heroine in shojo manga.

I love this live action version when it comes to detail about hospital life. Well, it's not as serious as A Life dorama, though. But, the discussion about diseases, what to do for certain cases, stories of patients are always appealing to follow. The characters performed by two main leads are awesome. Tendo sensei in manga is different from Tendo sensei in live action. But, I think Takeru Satoh really nails his role as someone annoying with his smirks, wrinkle on his head and his RETARD shout to Sakura turn out to be something sweet instead of displeasing. Mone Kamishiraisi as Sakura also shows her improvement in acting. I just hope that Takeru won't fall for her in reality. 😓😓

2. This Guy is The Biggest Mistake in My Life

This drama is also based on manga entitled Konootoko ha Jinseisaidai no Ayamachi Desu by Shiki Kokonose published in 2017 by magazine Koisuru Soware. I didn't read the manga since I didn't really intend to watch the drama. Yet, I coincidentally clicked the first episode, just to see the duration of the drama. If it has 45 minutes, I might drop watching it. But it only has 22 - 24  minutes each episode. And I heard there would be only 6 episodes  So, I gladly watched it.

The manga cover

And I was hooked ridiculously 😅😅😅

The story is like a modern Cinderella where Amagi Kyoichi, a CEO of Amagi Pharmaceutical Company is heads over heals in love with Sato Yui, a dispatched contract worker. The day when she lost her dog is the day when the world changes around her.

She was all alone, crying her heads out over her dead dog. She complained about medical world that cannot find medicine which can bring the dead back to life. Right behind her, the CEO gave a spiteful remarks about the impossibility. Sato-san doesn’t like what he said. On purpose, she tripped him and gives him a nasty response.

The next day oh her office, Sato-san is shocked to see that the one she tripped last night is her boss. She’s ready to get fired. She properly apologies to him, but to her surprise, she gets unexpected response. Instead, her boss bends down on his knee begging her to be her slave, or her replacement of her dead dog. His attitude creeps her out. From then on, Sato-san’s life has never been the same.

Take his as a slave? Your life is at stake ☺️😁

The story is quite creepy if you have an experience to get a stalker. On the contrary for those who love Cinderella story with stronger character would love this. Sato-san’s image is extraordinarily unique. But, I think some heroine drama characters have this kind of character these days—they are not rich but they don’t seem to be lured with wealth or good looks. They have their own principles. Unfortunately, at the end, those heroines would still end up with the rich. 😂😂😂 I can’t recall all dramas I have watched, but take an example: Hana Yori Dango part 1 & 2, HanaDan The Next Season, Rich Man, Poor Woman (to be honest, I haven’t watched the drama yet, I just assume 😂), hmmm…anything else? I forgot all dramas I’ve watched. LOL.

Who kneels down deeper? The CEO! 🤣🤣🤣

As I told you earlier, I didn’t expect much from this drama since I don’t read the manga, the actors and actresses there are not really my favorite that give me enough reason to watch. But I knew Mokomichi Hayami from an old drama entitled Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi). He was cast as a living robot to complete a woman’s life. In other words, he was cast as her robot boyfriend. The expression was almost the same—innocent but annoying, attentive but too over protective. It would be a disaster if you have a boyfriend like that. Mokomichi Hayami seems to return to his old role as an obsessive boyfriend. As an obsessive over Sato-san, Kyoichi seems to hide something. I expect that there would be something fishy behind his nutty behavior. Never been treated harshly by someone since he is the son of the owner of big company medicine, I think the reason is too shallow. But well, this is a comedy drama. Any reason is acceptable.

Airi Matsui performs well as the unbeatable Sato-san. I like her heavy voice when she complained towards her boss, or shoo him away. At glance from the poster, I thought she was Mirei Kiritani 😅😅😅. For this kind of drama, I always have a wish that the female character would never fall for the male rich character. But, I don’t think my wish would be granted.  From episode 4, I sense that Sato-san would finally give in to her boss charm. HAPPY. END.  😁😁😁
