The first time I read the manga, it was on going manga. At that time I thought that, it was just that, end with cliffhanger, just like other Japanese dorama or manga. But then, I got some updates that the manga was still on going. and weeks ago, I finished watching the live action, the manga is still going. #sigh
Honestly, I read the manga for the sake of waiting for the live action, since I love the casts. Later, I knew that the manga also has the dorama version, with different casts. Unfortunately, I still have to wait for the subtitle 😔😔😔
Well, after watching the movie version, I think there is something missing that I got from reading the manga, but I don't get in the movie; the desperation among the characters.
Let's start from Tsugumi Kawana. She met her first love, Ayukawa Itsuki on the state that she could make him hers. But, she was shocked finding that the alive and kicking Ayukawa has to sit on a wheelchair. A terrible accident made him to as he got injured on his spinal cord. She tried to deny her feelings, but working with him is just impossible for her to do so. Her feelings got stronger aside from her parents' disapproval. She's desperate to continue her feeling or to hurt people who love her. She kept asking herself whether she could be the right girl friend for Ayukawa.
Hirotaka Koreda was called as Little Monkey when he was in high school. He attended the same school as Kawana and Ayukawa. He has had his feelings for Kawana, and he got his chance to win Kawana’s parents’ approval. But Kawana’s love is only for Ayukawa. He had a question to himself whether he had the patience to wait for Kawana to love him.

Aoi Nagasawa has been Ayukawa’s nurse since he got his accident. She knew exactly what she had to do when Ayukawa was in terrible pain. she was a divorcee and now she had feelings for Ayukawa. She kept telling Kawana that she was the right person for Ayukawa. But the look in Ayukawa’s eyes telling her that she was not the one.
Kawana’s parents. Who wouldn’t worry to see their only child falling for someone handicapped? Ayukawa might be someone their daughter really loves, but could he protect Kawana?

Those feelings I got from reading the manga, unfortunately, I didn’t get that when I was watching the movie. Well, comparing reading the manga and watching the live action must be something different. I’m not disappointed with the acting of the casts, but those feelings were missing. Not to mention the challenge of Ayukawa as a designer to fulfill his clients’ needs. Oya, the gloomy moods while reading the manga was also contributed from the clients who had the same situation as Ayukawa-Kawana. Some of them could solve the problem, some of them could not. Could Ayukawa-Kawana solve their problem?
I was expecting the very terrible ending, but after watching some of fanmade video, I got spoiled with the ending. 😣😣😣 I don’t need to tell you this here. You can assume what I’m saying here. Now, I’ve been waiting for the dorama to be subbed. I hope that I got those feelings I missed in the movie. Well, actually, I also want to see the way Ayukawa designed the free barrier houses for the handicapped, something I didn’t get in almost 2 hour movie. Just wait and see.
Now, let’s talk about the casts. Hana Sugisaki played brilliantly as Kawana Tsugumi here. I fell for her acting since I watched her in Hana Nochi Hare HanaDan Next season as Oto Edogawa. She nailed all characters given to her: as high school student, as a child longing for revenge in Blade of The Immortal as Rin Asano, or as a psychic employee in Tempt Psychic Ataru, or as a grown-up lady in Perfect World. It seems that she could switch on and off her expression. Well, I bet she could do it since she’s an actress, right. The talented one!
Last but not least, I recommend this live action movie for you who love heartbreaking story but has a quite satisfying ending. I can’t wait for the dorama now.
