(Recommendation) Jmovie to watch on Valentine's Day (Part 2)
Konnichiwaaa, minna-san
Here I come again to share another 5 Jmovies to welcome your
Valentine's Day. Have you seen my first 5 movies as I posted here? If not,
hurry up find the sites to watch them. ππ
OK, to make my babbling short, let's check them out!
5. The 8- Year
Engagement (8 Nen Goshi no Hanayome)
Can you imagine that this heart breaking story is based on
an autobiographical novel? That means that this is based on a true story.
Hasashi (Takeru Satoh) meets Mai (Tao Tsuchiya) in a meeting group for dating.
They don't end up together right away, but their accident meeting after the
dating group makes them together. They promise to get married in another 3
months. Hisashi even has booked Mai's dream place to get married. But, suddenly
Mai gets terribly sick. Hisashi tries to stay by her side in no matter how long
he needs to wait. πππ
Frankly speaking, I don't like watching tragedy movies.
Sicklit books or movies absolutely are not my cup of tea. But, well, the male
lead here is my beloved actor, Takeru Satoh. You know, he always selects
different characters in his movies. As a broken hearted Hisashi, he portrayed
his emotion really well. But of course, my credit goes to Tao Tsuchiya. Before,
I thought she is just a shoujo character in real life. But, she can prove that
she is a real actress in various characters. Now, I don't want to see her in
more shoujo movies. She deserves more. About the movie, even though you
probably cry a lot, it ends quite satisfying. A piece of tissue might be necessary

4. My Love Story!! (Ore Monogatari!!)
It is based on a manga with the same title by Kazune
Kawahara and Aruko published in October 2011. Takeo Goda (Ryuhei Suzuki) is a
high school student who has 2 meter tall height and weighs 100 kilograms. Even though
he looks like a giant, his friends love him since he is sincere. But, female girls
prefer his best friend Makoto Sunakawa (Kentaro Sakaguchi) to be their love
interest. One day, Takeo helps a girl from different school from a pervert on a
train. Takeo falls for her. Unfortunately, he is not confident to express his
love since all the girls he ever likes always turn to Makoto. Will he be
unlucky again this time?
I happened to read some chapters of the manga, and I thought
it's a little bit stupid and slow. So, when I found out that there's the live
action version, I stopped reading the manga, and watched the movie. Yes, it's
really amusing. The moment when the girl he likes, Rinko Yamato (Mei Nagano)
serves him bento, and he digs in enthusiastically, it makes Rinko happy and
gives her hope. Unfortunately, Takeo match makes her with Makoto. So, minna San,
don't worry about your size. When it comes to love, size doesn't matter πππ
3. Daytime Shooting Star (Hirunaka no Ryuusei)
Not all Jmovies I recommend here have happy ending, but,
this one is different, especially if you have second lead male syndrome. It is
based on a manga with the same title by Mika Yamamori and Naoko Adachi. Suzume
Yosano (Mei Nagano) is a first grade of high school from countryside. One day,
she moves to Tokyo to live with her uncle. Before she gets to her uncle's
house, she is lost since she is not good at reading maps. Some guy helps her to
get her way and one day she finds out that he is her uncle's friend who happens
to be her school teacher. She can't help but falling for him. In her school,
she makes friend with Daiki Mamura (Alan Shirahama). Mamura is a shy who has troubles
when he's close to female friends. He falls for Suzume. So, which one would
Suzume pick?
I didn't know who Alan Shirahama is before I watched this
movie, but of course, I go to Daiki Mamura team πππ.
The moment Suzume and Mamura spend together and makes Mamura blushes is really
splendid. Some simple romantic scenes like when Mamura stands for Suzume when
she's broken hearted, and when Suzume makes special embroidery on Mamura's
scarf is sweet. You don't have to provide tissue watching this πππ
2. Liar and His Lover (Kanojo wa Uso o Aishisugiteru)
I don't know how many times I've fallen for Takeru Satoh ππ.
But as soon as I watched the trailer of this movie, I rushed my friend to seek
the movie online. The movie was based on manga by Kotomi Aoki, Tomoko Yoshida
and Norihiro Koizumi. The manga was released in 2009. The movie itself was
released in 2013. I can call it as a musical romance movie. Aki (Takeru Satoh)
is a music engineer for a pop band called Crude Play. But as soon as the band
gets more popular and gets major debut, Aki seems to feel uncomfortable with himself
in the group. He decides to quit. While calming his mind, he accidentally comes
across Riko (Sakurako Ohara), a high school student with brilliant gift in
music. To Riko who is a big fan of Crude Play, he introduces himself as someone
else and that he is a neet. For Riko, Aki is someone trustworthy and never has
been a liar.
My most favorite scene is of course when they meet for the
first time on the bridge (the bridge is often used for many kinds of movies or
drama that I call it as the Kanojo bridge. Lol). Aki's humming catches Riko's
attention (and my attention, too π). And don't forget the moment when
Riko attempts to run away from her curious friends with Aki holding hand in
hand. And then they kiss under the bridge. Oh, bridge, is that the same bridge?
π€ While watching the movie, please be careful with your heart πππ
1. It All Began When I Met You (Subete wa Kimi ni Aeta Kara)
Have you watched Love Actually, a British movie released in
2003? This movie revolves many characters that they, somehow, connect to one
another by accident. Some people call this movie as Love Actually in Japanese
version. This one was released in November 22, 2013, to welcome Christmas. But,
the love story inside the story is amazing. There are some couples that are
separated to each other but then they gather in Tokyo station. It is believed
that the movie is to commemorate 100th year of Tokyo Station. You can find
Kazuki (Hiroshi Tamaki), an arrogant boss who loves watching movies. But he
doesn't have any reference so he asks his assistant and his assistant asks the
video rental staff. The staff happens to be someone he accidentally meets in a Cafe
that he believes that she is his stalker. Another character is Setsuna (Fumino
Kimura) who has a love distance relationship with Takumi (Masahiro Higashide).
And one touching character is Kotoko (Chieko Baisho) who has been waiting for
her lover for 49 years. 49. YEARS!!! Never is a long time, goodbye... πΆπΆ #Roxettesing π
Oh, well. I've finally finished sharing all my romance
Jmovie recommendation. Don't complain that they don't have a lot of romantic scenes.
Sometimes romance can be just described by the look of someone's eyes, or touching
something someone has yearned for. Last but not least, HAPPY VALENTINE, MINNA
SAN. WISH YOU HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH THE LOVED ONE(S) πππ
