(QR) My Boyfriend in Orange (2022)
The Plot
High school student Moe has moved to a new town after the death of her father. Moe’s already having enough trouble fitting into her new class as it is, so she’s totally mortified when she ends up being “rescued” by local firefighter Kyosuke during a fire drill ... in front of all the kids at school. But the embarrassing incident might be a blessing in disguise, because gruff-but-kind Kyosuke gives Moe the courage she needs to leap out of her comfort zone as she aims to leave her loner days behind. Not to mention she’s soon falling head over heels for him … !

It was my first movie I finished in the first year of 2023 😃 I didn’t know that I could enjoy the movie. The story is a typical shoujo drama. It reminds me a bit of P to Jk with Kamenashi Kazuya and Tsuchiya Tao as the main leads. Yup, it's a love story between a male adult and a high school girl. I know that there are many girls got obsessed with a father figure that they long for an adult partner.
The two main leads met in an accidental event that left good impressions on both of them. Next time they met each other again, Moe was head over heels in love with the firefighter. The third wheel came between them, but thank God there was no long unnecessary misunderstandings (I thought there would be one and they would be apart and reunite at the end of the movie. My thought is too typical. Lol).
It’s not a Japanese drama if there's no character development, something that I like. Moe finally got a chance to fit in with her classmates, and the firefighter finally moved on with himself.
Bonus: too many ikemens as the firefighters and one of Moe's friends 😍
